Digital Learning Resources (MoE)
There are several ICT initiatives of the Ministry of Education (MoE), UGC, and its Inter-University Centre’s (IUCs), in the form of digital platforms which can be accessed by the teachers, students, and researchers in Universities and Colleges for broadening their horizon of learning. Following is the list of some of the ICT initiatives along with their access links:
One India One Digital Platform
One India One Digital Platform is an integrated (Class I to PG level) e-Content portal which provides a facility to search and browse all hosted content or metadata of other hosted content wherein a learner can easily access the desired material including audio/video learning material, textual material, multimedia enriched materials, etc.
Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC)
The Consortium for Educational Communication (CEC), as a premier institution for the development and dissemination of educational e-content, is committed to transforming education through new ICT-based technologies with emphasis on learner-centric pedagogy for the benefit of web learners across the country.
The INFLIBNET Centre has developed a web-based interface called “Vidya-Mitra: Integrated e-Content Portal” for all e-content projects, developed/funded under the National Mission of Education through ICT. There are more than 50 projects on e-content under NME-ICT which are developed/being developed in various subject disciplines (science, arts, engineering, social science, etc) through various Indian institutes/universities/colleges.
SWAYAM provides Massive Open Online Courses with 140 university-approved credit transfer features. Students enrolled in Jan-20 & in total are 26 Lakhs & 1.57 Cr respectably. Total 1900+ courses covering school & higher education.
SWAYAMPRABHA provides high-quality educational programs 24×7 through 32 DTH channels. Around 56,000 total videos have been telecasted covering school & higher education. It has had 3+ crores total views on Youtube since its inception.
e-Yantra provides hands-on experience on embedded systems. It has about 380 Labs and made 2300+ colleges benefit.
FOSSEE is an acronym for Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education, which developed, promote open source software for education as well as professional use.
eGyanKosh is a National Digital Repository to store and share digital learning resources. Its content was developed by the Open and Distance Learning Institutions in the country.
Gyan Darshan is a web-based TV channel devoted to educational and developmental needs for Open and Distance Learners.
DIKSHA is a National Platform for teachers & all other learners.
e-PG Pathshala is a gateway for e-books up to PG which provides High quality, curriculum-based, and interactive content in different subjects across all disciplines.
VIDWAN is an Expert Database and National Research Network which has profiles of scientists/researchers and other faculty members working at leading academic institutions.
Spoken Tutorial is an IT application that provides self-training in IT fields.
NEAT is an AI adaptive learning portal. This is an initiative for skilling learners in the latest technologies through a PPP model.
Abhilekh Patal Portal for Access to Archives and Learning is an initiative of National Archives of India to make its rich treasure of Indian Archival Records available to one and all.
